MR-JE AL.16 — Encoder Initial Communication Error 1

CAUSE
Why does it occur?
- Error in serial communication between encoder and servo amplifier during initial power-on
- Causes: broken or shorted encoder cable, incorrect 2-wire/4-wire parameter setting (Pr.PC22/PC04), disconnected encoder cable, unstable power supply, or faulty encoder/amplifier

How to fix it?
- Inspect encoder cable for disconnection or short circuit
- Verify parameter Pr.PC22 (MR-JE-A/C) or Pr.PC04 (MR-JE-B) matches actual cable type
- Check power supply stability
- Replace servo amplifier then servo motor in sequence to isolate fault
Do not reset repeatedly before identifying the cause. Repeated resets while ignoring a trip/alarm can cause secondary damage (IGBT failure, motor winding damage, etc.).
