MR-JE AL.45 — Main Circuit Device Overheat
Trip — immediate stop
CAUSE
Why does it occur?
- Internal temperature of servo amplifier main circuit power device (IGBT) exceeded safe limit
- Causes: ambient temperature above 55°C, non-compliant close-mounting configuration, repeated overload cycles without cooling, or blocked cooling fan/heat sink/ventilation
REMEDY · Step by step
How to fix it?
- Lower the ambient temperature to below 55°C
- Verify close-mounting spacing complies with specifications
- Avoid repeatedly cycling power during an overload condition
- Clean cooling fan, heat sink, and ventilation openings
- Allow at least 30 minutes cooling before restart
Do not reset repeatedly before identifying the cause. Repeated resets while ignoring a trip/alarm can cause secondary damage (IGBT failure, motor winding damage, etc.).
