MR-JE AL.46 — Servo Motor Overheat
Trip — immediate stop
CAUSE
Why does it occur?
- Servo motor internal thermal sensor detected overheat
- Causes: motor ambient temperature above 40°C, motor running in overloaded state (effective load ratio too high), or faulty thermal sensor inside the encoder (sub-code 46.1)
- Sub-codes 46.5/46.6 indicate continuous rating exceeded
REMEDY · Step by step
How to fix it?
- Lower the motor ambient temperature to below 40°C
- Check the effective load ratio and reduce load or review the operation cycle
- Use a larger capacity motor if load cannot be reduced
- Allow 30 minutes cooling before restart
- Replace servo motor if thermal sensor is suspect
Do not reset repeatedly before identifying the cause. Repeated resets while ignoring a trip/alarm can cause secondary damage (IGBT failure, motor winding damage, etc.).
