MR-JE AL.54 — Oscillation Detection
Trip — immediate stop
CAUSE
Why does it occur?
- Mechanical or servo-system oscillation detected
- Triggered when servo motor torque ripple exhibits sustained oscillation
- Causes: unstable servo system gain, machine resonance frequency shifting due to mechanical wear or load changes, or encoder malfunction
REMEDY · Step by step
How to fix it?
- Use MR Configurator2 to check torque ripple waveform
- Run auto-tuning to re-optimize servo gains
- Configure the machine resonance suppression filter (notch filter) to match the measured resonance frequency
Do not reset repeatedly before identifying the cause. Repeated resets while ignoring a trip/alarm can cause secondary damage (IGBT failure, motor winding damage, etc.).
